Bring home the divine charm of Sri Udupi Krishna with this beautifully crafted 12-inch idol made of durable Plaster of Paris. Inspired by the revered deity from the famed Udupi temple in Karnataka, this idol captures Lord Krishna in his signature standing posture, holding a churning rod and rope—a unique form worshipped through a window known as the Kanakana Kindi. (Kanaka's Window in Kanada)

Adorned with intricate gold-toned carvings, a radiant arch, and colorful embellishments, this idol exudes grace and spiritual depth. Perfect for your Golu display, pooja room, or as a thoughtful gift, it combines tradition, artistry, and affordability.

The Legend Behind It:
Kanakadasa, a devout poet-saint and devotee of Lord Krishna, was not allowed inside the temple due to social restrictions of the time. Undeterred, he stood behind the temple and sang songs of devotion with unwavering love. Moved by his pure devotion, Lord Krishna is believed to have turned around in his sanctum to face Kanakadasa and created a crack in the temple wall, allowing the devotee to see Him.

That very spot was later converted into the Kanakana Kindi, a symbol of divine grace and equality—where even today, devotees get a glimpse of the deity through that window.

Size: 12" in Plaster of Paris.
